Position: Account Executive

Job Summary:

Responsible for selling outdoor advertising to current and prospective clients within the market utilizing existing inventory while achieving exceptional customer service & satisfaction. The role of the Account Executive is to create demand and drive revenue by bridging the interests of the media buyer with our business needs as well as meet & exceed sales objectives. Must be a strategic thinker with exceptional prospecting skills, high energy and solution oriented. They are natural leaders with a desire to succeed in a collaborative, team environment.

Job Responsibilities are as follows but not limited to: 

Management:

  • Fully embrace B&C Service Excellence Initiative by demonstrating “customer-first” actions for all internal and external customers and accepting responsibility and accountability for demonstrating empowerment decisions and actions during daily work
  • Develop revenue opportunities through cold calling and face-to-face conversations (including but not limited to sales presentations) with existing clients and potential prospects
    • Navigate the campaign process from beginning to end; prospecting, identifying customer needs, proposing inventory, present proposal, generate contract, creative implementation, ordering material, scheduling installation, follow up with campaign success analysis while paying close attention to accounts receivable and developing long term account strategies
  • Develop new business revenue opportunities as a mandatory requirement of the position
    • Ability to understand products and effectively identify how it can provide value to a prospective customer
  • Create and propose advertising recommendations that best suit customer campaign, objectives & goals
  • Up sell and leverage business from new and established customer relationships
  • Promote a synergistic relationship with team members in all department and divisions
  • Collaborate with internal creative department and clients to assist in development of effective advertising campaigns.
  • Demonstrate a repertoire of skills such as scheduling, prioritizing, organizing, planning, problem solving, decision-making, financial savvy, attention to detail, and follow through
  • Maintain a big picture, strategic outlook with the ability to iterate from company strategy and planning
  • Extraordinary selling capability
  • Complete all sales related paperwork as required in a timely fashion

Education:

1-2 years college/technical school, related work experience, Bachelor’s degree in business administration, statistics, marketing, or communications preferred

Experience:

Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in media sales

Position: Billboard Installer

Position Reports to: Real Estate / Operations Director

Coastal Outdoor is the largest locally owned & operated outdoor advertising company in South Carolina. Our DMA consists of 31 digitals and 800 static boards. We are a division of Burroughs & Chapin Company who has been operating & serving the Myrtle Beach area since the early 1900’s. The Coastal Outdoor local office is located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, established in 1996.

Job Description:

This is a full time position, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, to install & maintain our billboard inventory including installation of advertisements & structure maintenance including cosmetics & vegetation.

Job Summary:

As a Billboard Installer, you will report to the Operations Manager/Crew Leader ensuring proper installations of advertisements printed on vinyl & any necessary structure maintenance. Even though you will be a part of the Operations department, Coastal Outdoor operates as one cohesive team including Management, Sales & Creative – always putting safety first. We provide a family atmosphere & an open door policy to all employees.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest degree of safety standards and awareness
  • Upon approach to structure, ensure visual inspection for safety evaluation prior to climbing
  • Remove & hang vinyls, cut & prepare vinyl for installation
  • Build/install extensions & sections, conduct storm damage repairs, basic electrical repairs & digital maintenance
  • Complete daily work orders & upload proof of performance photos for sales to provide to client
  • Ensure job site is clean and organized upon completion of install
  • Report any landlord issues or complaints to Operations Manager
  • Maintain company vehicle and company supplied tools
  • Maintain structure repairs including but not limited to, tightening bolts, painting structures, repairing trim, and various parts of the sign face & structure, change light bulbs
  • Monitor plant for quality assurance; check sites and report any issues such as tree blockage, structure issues, aesthetic issues
  • Ensure all safety equipment is being utilized as mandated by Coastal Outdoor Advertising
  • Comply and adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, standards, regulations, expectations & guidelines
  • May be required to attend & complete safety training courses
  • May be required to attend and complete compliance & maintenance courses to update all necessary skills as needed
  • On Call shifts may be required

Qualifications/skills:

  • Previous experience working at heights up to 75 ft. preferred or no fear of heights a must!
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time, perform strenuous physical labor, sometimes under adverse conditions
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • The ability to communicate effectively with all team members
  • The ability to travel as required
  • The ability to read and interpret verbal & written requests in English
  • Understand & possess basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying & dividing
  • Problem solving skills
  • Positive and effective customer service skills
  • A working knowledge or ability to learn the proper use of an AC/DC welder a plus
  • A working knowledge or ability to learn the proper use of an oxygen/acetylene torch a plus
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
  • Electrical experience a plus

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Construction, roofing, tree cutting, billboard installation experience a plus, not required
