Billboard Installer

Job Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining all billboards, including installation of advertisements, maintenance of structures including cosmetics & vegetation. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Receive & complete daily work assignments as directed by Operations Manager
  • Assess all necessary supplies & materials for rotation, construction & posting 
  • Maintain the highest degree of safety standards and awareness 
  • Monitor plant for quality assurance; check sites and report any issues such as tree blockage & structure issues
  • Complete daily work orders & upload proof of performance photos for AE to send to client for review
  • Maintain completion records of all installations
  • Ensure installation is completed on time and of utmost quality
  • Ensure job site is clean and organized upon completion of install
  • Report any landlord issues or complaints
  • Use time efficiently and effectively 
  • Prepare vinyl for installation; unfold vinyl, insert rods, refold vinyl, and place them in order of installation
  • Prepare vehicle for installation ensuring the vehicle has the supplies needed for common installs
  • Required to drive company vehicle for normal course of business
  • Remove & hang flexes, remove & hang vinyl, cut & prepare vinyl for installation
  • Maintain structures repairs including but not limited to, tightening bolts, painting steel structures, repairing trim, and various parts of the sign face & structure, change light bulbs, assemble structures & faces
  • Upon approach to structure, ensure visual inspection for safety evaluation prior to climbing 
  • Build/install extensions & sections, cut brush/weeds/conduct storm damage repairs, basic electrical repairs
  • Safely operate gas powered equipment such as lawn mowers, chain saws, generators, compressors, paint sprayers, etc.
  • Routinely exposed to dust or particles
  • Utilize all safety equipment as mandated by Coastal Outdoor Advertising
  • The ability to work in all weather conditions as necessary
  • Comply and adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, standards, regulations, expectations & guidelines without exception 
  • Notify Operations Manager of any required maintenance activities for structures/work vehicles  
  • Communicate with lease department and lease holder to gain access to locations when necessary 
  • Coordinate & revise production schedule based on client needs under supervision of Operations Manager
  • May be required to attend & complete safety training courses
  • May be required to attend and complete compliance & maintenance courses to update all necessary skills as needed
  • Adhere to Company ethical requirements, demonstrating the utmost integrity in all professional and personal matters


  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience installing outdoor advertising signs or roofing
  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear
  • Must have full range of motion in order to install & maintain bulletin signage, repairs, etc. as well as day to day maintenance
  • Must be able to climb elevated heights without restriction 
  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time, perform strenuous physical labor, sometimes under adverse conditions
  • Must be able to handle frequent interruptions while handling multiple tasks
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel 
  • Must be able to travel as required
  • Must be able to prioritize and execute tasks/assignments
  • Must have ability to read and interpret verbal & written requests & direction
  • Understand & possess basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying & dividing
  • Must possess problem solving skills
  • Must possess positive and effective customer service skills
  • Must possess a working knowledge or ability to learn the proper use of an AC/DC welder
  • Must possess a working knowledge or ability to learn the proper use of an oxygen/acetylene torch
  • Must be proficient in basic computer skills
  • Electric experience a plus

Account Executive

Responsible for selling outdoor advertising to current and prospective clients within the market utilizing existing inventory while achieving exceptional customer service & satisfaction. The role of the Account Executive is to create demand and drive revenue by bridging the interests of the media buyer with our business needs as well as meet & exceed sales objectives. Must be a strategic thinker with exceptional prospecting skills, high energy and solution oriented. They are natural leaders with a desire to succeed in a collaborative, team environment.

  • Fully embrace B&C Service Excellence Initiative by demonstrating “customer-first” actions for all internal and external customers and accepting responsibility and accountability for demonstrating empowerment decisions and actions during daily work
  • Develop revenue opportunities through cold calling and face-to-face conversations (including but not limited to sales presentations) with existing clients and potential prospects
    • Navigate the campaign process from beginning to end; prospecting, identifying customer needs, proposing inventory, present proposal, generate contract, creative implementation, ordering material, scheduling installation, follow up with campaign success analysis while paying close attention to accounts receivable and developing long term account strategies
  • Develop new business revenue opportunities as a mandatory requirement of the position
    • Ability to understand products and effectively identify how it can provide value to a prospective customer
  • Create and propose advertising recommendations that best suit customer campaign, objectives & goals
  • Up sell and leverage business from new and established customer relationships
  • Promote a synergistic relationship with team members in all department and divisions
  • Collaborate with internal creative department and clients to assist in development of effective advertising campaigns.
  • Demonstrate a repertoire of skills such as scheduling, prioritizing, organizing, planning, problem solving, decision-making, financial savvy, attention to detail, and follow through
